Are you open during school holidays?
We are open all year round, except over Christmas and New Year…you do not pay when we are closed at that time, so your payment will be adjusted accordingly.
What happens if I go on holiday?
We offer two weeks payment free per year to accommodate holidays etc. These can be taken at any time (1/1-31/12), together or on two separate occasions. Anything over the two weeks, the lessons will be rearranged as soon as possible. Please let Joanne know as soon as possible if you are going away, not the tutor, as she deals with the timetables, payment adjustments, and catch up lessons.
What happens if I cannot make my lesson due to illness or other commitments?
If you are unwell or cannot make your lesson for any reason, we ask for 24 hours notice. That allows us time to fill the gap, then we can rearrange your lesson as soon as possible. Please always let Joanne know.
We appreciate that 24 hours notice is not always possible so, if less notice is given, we will try our best to fill the gap. If we manage to do so, the lesson will be rearranged as soon as possible; if we are not able to fill the gap, the lesson is forfeit.
If no notice is given and you simply do not arrive, the lesson is automatically forfeit.
What happens if I need to take a longer absence, but don’t want to cancel the lessons completely or lose my slot?
If you need to take a long period off then we adjust your payments to a retainer amount of £10 every payment, which will then be deducted from your payments after you return. For example, if you make 3 payments of £10 we will deduct £10 from each of your first 3 payments after you return.
What happens if my tutor is unwell or cannot make the scheduled lesson for any reason?
If your tutor is unavailable for any reason, we will let you know and do one of the following:
1: Arrange for the lesson to be covered by another tutor, or…
2: Rearrange the lesson on a different day that same week, or…
3: Rearrange the lesson at a later date.
How do I cancel my lessons if I no longer want to attend?
If you decide you no longer wish to have lessons with us, we do request 4 weeks cancellation notice. Please let Joanne know. You will be more than welcome to attend the last 4 lessons, if you would like to.
